The Musei San Domenico presents an exhibition called "Egitto mai visto - Le dimore eterne di Assiut e Gebelein" (Egypt never seen - The eternal dwellings of Assiut and Gebelein). The display contains 400 objects from Middle Kingdom burials from Gebelein and Asiut, excavated by Ernesto Schiaparelli between 1908 and 1920. The objects have until now been stored in the Museo Egizio in Turin, and are visible for the first time, after much restoration and conservation.

The exhibition remains open from the 11th of September 2010 until the 9th of January 2011.
